Nestled in the farming area of the Chichester Plain which stretches from the beautiful South Downs to the coast and picturesque harbours. This newly converted barn provides contemporary self catering holiday accommodation.
It is a sustainable barn conversion that has retained the original A frames and beams. Originally the complex was a traditional Sussex farmstead (era. 1850). Abelands Barn was used to store hay and straw for cows housed in the adjoining cowstall. Conversions to the main barn began in the 1980’s and separate B&B accommodation is available there. Home cooked breakfasts are available by arrangement for The Cowstall self catering guests.
Walks and a cycle path pass the front gates. A restaurant is within walking distance. Regular local buses would easily bring you to the nearby county town of Chichester or the coastal town of Bognor Regis in minutes. Short drives bring you to local farm shops; the harbours of Chichester, Bosham and Portsmouth; the horse racing at Goodwood and Fontwell Park; the Weald and Downland Museum; Chichester Cathedral; Fishbourne Roman Palace; Pallant House; South Downs walks; West Dean Gardens; Chichester Festival Theatre….it is truly an all year round holiday area with so much to do.
